VIDEO: Wegmans’ Dave Corsi talks the value of getting involved with food safety research

AUSTIN, TX—Dave Corsi has had a busy year – besides his day job as Vice President of Produce & Floral for Rochester, NY-based Wegmans Food Markets BB #:104173.

Corsi served as Chairman for the Center for Produce Safety, and spent the year raising awareness of the value of getting involved with CPS, and driving attendance at this year’s Research Symposium held June 18-19 at the Renaissance Hotel.

The event isn’t your typical produce conference. It has a heavy emphasis on research, with scientists presenting their CPS-funded research, from initial project plans to completed reports.

What value is there for members of the produce supply chain, outside of academia and CPS board members, to attend?

Corsi explained the outreach the CPS Knowledge Transfer Task Force undertook to bring in more attendees, and why it’s so important for the broader produce industry to get involved.
