PRESS RELEASE: August 27, 2019 – Lori Taylor, founder and CEO of THE PRODUCE MOMS™ BB #:366223 was a featured guest at the Wellness Your Way Festival in Denver, Friday, August 16.

Lori served as the expert on produce and appeared as a panelist for the Dietitians Pick Presentation on the popular Food as Medicine Stage.  She was chosen because the organizers of the festival and panel moderator, Allison Baker, Director of Nutrition at Kroger, wanted to use The Produce Moms story as an example of how an industry comes together to collaborate and promote wellness.  Other wellness influencers on the panel included Kroger nutrition expert Ashley Martinez, as well as Joy Bauer, nutrition/health expert for NBC’s TODAY SHOW, Monica Salafia, author of the Mind on Nutrition Blog and Alison Velázquez, founder and CEO of Skinny Souping.

“Those who attended the Wellness Your Way Festival Dietitians’ Pick will never look at the produce department or the farmers market the way they did before they heard Lori speak!” stated Aphrah Brokaw, Director of Programming and Talent for WYWF.  “Lori enlightened all of us about how our fruits and veggies are grown and the best ways to enjoy them!”

Musician and wellness expert Jewel is co-founder of the Wellness Your Way Festival.  In a press release for the event, Jewel is quoted as saying that WYWF is “a combination of my passions: health, wellness and music.”  She adds that attendees would “hear from the coolest people and experts who have spent a lifetime seeking wisdom on how to live a healthier and happier life.”  WYWF is sponsored by Kroger.  According to the WYWF website, “There’s a little something for everyone at the Wellness Your Way Festival. Whether you’re looking to get motivation from one of our inspirational speakers, learn some new cooking tips and tricks from our top chefs, help your kids get active, find your perfect workout, or to get access to some of the best health products from leaders in wellness, this is the place to start your journey.”

Says Lori, “I was thrilled to be a participant of the first Wellness Your Way Festival which was held in Cincinnati in October of 2018.  When WYWF asked The Produce Moms to return for their second event in Denver last week and share the message about how the produce industry comes together to promote the role of fruits and vegetables in healthy eating it was as good as it gets! ”

In September, Lori continues sharing TPM’s message about increasing produce consumption when she delivers a presentation at SEPC’s Southern Innovations Organics and Foodservice Expo (September 12 to 14 in Nashville).   Says,  Lori, “I love talking about produce with consumers, but I started my career in the produce industry, and that will always be the community that I consider family!”
