In Colombia, according to figures through September 2022 published by the National Foreign Trade Association (Analdex), Hass avocado exports reached $178.2 million.

The new Chilean cherry season could increase by 20 percent, which would depend - along with climatic factors and logistics – on the continuing diversification of national and international ports that process fruit products produced in the country.

The 2023 Peruvian orange campaign, which runs from June to December, started on the right foot, with the first two months of the current campaign (June and July) totaling 5.07 million kilos, showing an increase of 210 percent compared to the 1.6 million kilos exported in the same period of last year.

Through July, Peru has exported 10,000 tons of blueberries, which represents a 25 percent decrease compared to the same period in the previous campaign.

In the first half of the year, Peruvian agricultural exports reached $4.11 billion, reflecting a decrease of 2.8 percent when compared to the $4.23 billion registered the same period in 2022.

So far in 2023, Peruvian grape exports reached 331,022 tons, showing growth close to 30 percent compared to what was registered in the same period of the previous year.

The coastal storm El Niño has generated warm weather in Peru, so the vines are being pruned, and the first table grapes of the 2023-2024 Peruvian campaign should start in September, when the campaign normally starts in October.

Since the Peruvian citrus campaign began, shipments have not been able to exceed those of 2022.

In the first half of 2023, Peruvian fresh blueberry exports reached 34.7 million kilograms, reflecting an increase of 42.7 percent compared to the 24.3 million kilos shipped in the same period last year.

The Hass Avocado Producers Association of Peru (ProHass) reduced the projection of exports of avocados 598,344 tons in 2023, after estimating shipments of more than 630,000 in March.
