SALINAS, Calif. – April 24, 2023 – Church Brothers Farms BB #:161800 today announced that it has hired Mishalin Modena as Director of Sustainability & Corporate Engagement. Modena has more than 16 years’ experience in the produce industry, acting in both business development and marketing roles.

She most recently served as Senior Business Development Manager at Bunzl USA / Destiny Packaging, where she worked closely with customers and her supply chain to source and develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

In the newly-created role at Church Brothers Farms, Modena will be responsible for leading the company’s Seven Pillar Sustainability Program which encompasses:
• Crop Protection & Integrated Pest Management
• Material Management & Waste Reduction
• Ecosystems & Biodiversity
• Water Management & Conservation
• Soil Management & Conservation
• Energy & Emissions
• People & Culture Vitality

This role is critical to minimizing overall company carbon footprint and positively impacting both internal and external stakeholders through strategic initiatives.

Mishalin has a degree in Nutrition from Santa Monica College. She also studied Business Marketing at the University of Montana.
