Michael Bernstein of Able Freight Services, LLC, released the following statement April 15, 2023:

Dear Customer & Partner,

I am reaching out to you regarding the recent decision by our Board of Directors at Able Freight Services (Able) BB #:150946 to place our CEO, Orlando Wong, on administrative leave.

In connection with that, I have been appointed as Able’s interim Chief Operating Officer and will be leading the company’s day-to-day operations.

These changes follow allegations made against Orlando and other non-Able employees in connection with an investigation related to Polar Air.

Able requires the highest ethical standards from each of its employees and works tirelessly to not only uphold these standards but improve upon them each and every day. We take these allegations seriously and we are continuing to gather facts related to this matter. As we do, we believe these changes are in the best interest of Able and all involved.

I want to assure you that all of us at Able remain committed to providing the highest level of quality and service to our customers and our partners. Our corporate and station-level management, and customer-obsessed warehouse operations teams – the beating heart of our organization – remain intact and stronger than ever. Able’s 99.98% on-time performance and 24/7 customer service remain unchanged and unmatched and we are continuing to operate with no interruption of services to our beloved customers and suppliers.

As we continue to serve and support you, Able is fortunate to have the financial and strategic support of our partner Equity Group Investments (EGI). For decades, EGI has developed a track record of investing behind strong businesses and their investment in Able in 2020 was based on the strength of our position in the market and the depth of our customer and partner relationships.

EGI remains fully committed to ensuring that Able continues to operate from the strong financial position we have today and supporting our future growth.

Should you or your leadership team wish to connect, please reach me anytime at mbernstein@ablefreight.com.

We appreciate your business, decades of support, and loyalty to the Able Freight family, who will strive to continue exceeding your service expectations for another 30 years.

Warm Regards,
Michael Bernstein and the entire Able Family
