Aerobotics to hold Trees & Tech U.S. Roadshow this month

PRESS RELEASE Los Angeles – Aerobotics will be joined by some of the most renowned AgTech leaders at its inaugural Trees & Tech US Roadshow to share the latest developments in tree crop analytics with local growers.

During the free day events, citrus, nut, apple and grape growers will experience the revolution of yield management through the world’s top performing early-stage problem detection technology.

Pest and disease damage can cost growers up to 20% loss of annual yields. This is mostly because they don’t have accurate, up-to-date and time-sensitive insights on crop and tree health available. Aerobotics’ US tour will actively involve growers with prominent agriculture players and experts’ solutions to address problems in the field as signs of damage occur.

Aerobotics processes data from drone and satellite imagery through its proprietary artificial intelligence software, Aeroview. Its tools are used to discover and analyse problems affecting each individual tree in an orchard. This is aimed at giving growers back ownership of their fields, allowing them to easily track and review production prospects.

“The farming industry is seeing a rapid transformation in precision agriculture, making production a more efficient process to save growers time and money,” says James Paterson, Aerobotics’ CEO. “We want to help familiarize growers with more efficient data-driven approaches and track farm performance on a per tree basis, and optimize the health of their fields.”

The company’s technology is a leading farm management system for growers across the world. To date, Aerobotics has covered more than 250,000 acres of farmland globally and approximately 25,000 acres in the US. Aerobotics currently operates in 18 countries in Europe, Africa and the Americas. More than 30 million trees have been captured by its AI systems.

Aerobotics teamed up with industry thought leaders and commercial partners that specialize in drone equipment and precision agriculture to launch the Trees & Tech US Roadshow in California, Georgia, Florida and Washington (July 9 to 23). The tour will cultivate conversations and keynote presentations by Aerobotics’ team leads, international speakers (line-up to be released soon) and partners, and give visitors a chance to experience new AgTech innovations first hand. Various educational activities and entertainment will be on offer for the entire family including a barbeque on the house.

“The idea behind the roadshow is that we want to take our technology to growers in-person,” says Tim Willis, Aerobotics’ COO. “We know that it can be hard to implement new technologies on farms. We want to help growers understand how new innovations in agriculture can impact them and their colleagues. The events are interactive meeting places where growers can engage in discussions on critical AgTech developments and real-time challenges.”

“Farmers Business Network is working to help farms of all types, including orchard and tree farms, become more profitable,” says Charles Baron, co-founder of FBN – one of Aerobotics’ Tech & Tress Roadshow partners. “We are committed to finding innovative solutions that can help growers be more productive while improving their bottom line. By bringing more technology, data and analytics, and transparency to tree farmers, we believe this can happen – Aerobotics’ roadshow is an ideal platform to explore advancing farm processes.”

Says Johnna Hepner, Director of Technology at the Produce Marketing Association: “I’m particularly excited for us to have the opportunity to attend each event and join in conversations around using technology to find implementable solutions for challenges throughout the supply chain. These kinds of in-person meet-ups are critical to our industry because conversation is where innovation happens.”

“Drone and remote imaging technologies offer increased efficiency and more precise management of crops,” adds Dr. Manal Elarab, MicraSense’s director of enterprise solutions. “Building impactful solutions that further advances technology, we believe we must first understand farmers’ most critical issues. Aerobotics’ Trees and Tech events are ideal for such discussions and we are excited to be part of the tour.”
