Stemilt’s stone fruit season officially kicked off this week with its first run of Artisan Organics apricots.

Prima Wawona, the world’s leading grower and marketer of conventional and organic peaches, nectarines, plums, and apricots today announced that it is expanding its acreage by another 2600 acres devoted to growing Stone Fruit.

Homegrown Organic Farms is pleased to announce its certification from Equitable Food Initiative for its California grown, organic stone fruit – the first stone fruit operation ever to be EFI certified.

Prima Wawona reviews and analyzes data such as margins, the effect of price on sales volumes over time, retailer performance compared to the industry average, sales promotion performance, price gaps and more, segmented by commodity across the stone fruit category.

The combined company will be led by Dan Gerawan, who will be the largest individual shareholder and Chief Executive Officer of the merged entity. Brent Smittcamp, current Executive Chairman of Wawona, will also remain a significant shareholder and continue to be highly involved with the combined company.
