Splendid by Porvenir names new VP of marketing

Cindy Swanberg Schwing Joins Splendid by Porvenir

Nogales, Arizona – Splendid by Porvenir BB #:301797 welcomes Cindy Swanberg Schwing in a new role as VP of Marketing for the company.

Schwing will concentrate on all aspects of Marketing, with efforts closely connected and coordinated with Retail Sales. Such a strong Mktg./Sales strategy is believed to further strengthen the Splendid and Tropic Star brands with Splendid’s full line of products.

Most recently, Schwing handled the West Coast region for the National Mango Board as a Retail Consultant. She was instrumental in bringing onboard many new ethic clients, who are known for their movement of mangos, especially during peak volume months.

With a varied background, Schwing brings over 25 years of experience in the produce industry and roots in a farming family in South Texas. “I’m excited to be working with such a progressive, growing produce company and making connections and new relationships that will take us far! It’s a perfect fit for me,” stated Schwing.

The career move enables Schwing to incorporate many of her passions: agriculture, produce industry, the Spanish language, mangos (her specialty license plates even read Ms. Mango) and a global emphasis for the growth of a burgeoning produce empire.

Owner of Splendid Daniel Ibarra commented, “We hope to incorporate Cindy’s experience, energy and skillsets with where we are going as a company and believe we’ll have great success!”

Splendid’s operations are not exclusive to Mexico. They also have operations in Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, establishing year-round mango volume for the U.S. and Canadian markets, with interest in expanding to Europe. In Northern Sinaloa where the company has its operations in Los Mochis, hot water treatment for mangos is not required. Other products handled are limes, lemons, sweet corn, green beans, bell peppers, cucumbers, and winter squash. Already making plans for fall veggies, please contact Cindy at cindy@splendidbyporvenir.com to discuss customizing a retail plan for you.
