IPG celebrates 20th anniversary, expands worldwide sourcing

IPG Final Banner

International Produce Group (IPG) BB #:168082 celebrates their 20th anniversary in 2022. Headquartered in Salinas, California, over the past 20 years they have developed into a major fruit, vegetable, and dairy exporter with a strong dedicated customer base worldwide.

Over the last 18 months, to serve the growing needs of their customer base, they have vastly grown their procurement and sales power with the addition of offices in Chile, Peru, and most recently Mexico. These offices will focus on sourcing high-quality produce for IPG’s growing customer base, as well as handling direct imports into these countries from other supply regions.

In Chile, Peru, and Mexico, IPG will focus on its continued development of relationships with high-quality, reliable growers with a commitment to the worldwide market. IPG develops and facilitates symbiotic relationships between the grower and end receiver and maintains a fully integrated and renewable product chain.

IPG Chile, led by Rodrigo Baquedano, is sourcing from the best Chilean growers and exporting a variety of commodities: primarily fresh grapes, cherries, berries, apples, and citrus; and also stone fruit, mangos, kiwis, and avocados. The country of Chile is producing over 85 million boxes of grapes and 75 million boxes of cherries and continues to be a leader in fresh produce. With access to these crops, IPG Chile will give their customers an edge in the world marketplace.

IPG Peru, led by Carla Robles, will primarily focus on grapes, avocados, citrus, and berries, but will also source pomegranates, mangos, and other items from the best growers in Peru. Peru is one of the fastest growing and most high-quality produce regions in the world. Peru is currently the #1 blueberry exporter in the world, and now one of the largest grape and avocado exporters, and growing every year.

IPG Peru will provide customers with the most popular grape varieties, such as Autumn Crisp and Sweet Globes, in IPG’s own private brands including IPG GOLD. IPG Peru will have access to close to 65 million boxes of grapes, 75 million boxes of avocados, and 56 million boxes of blueberries in 2022.

IPG Mexico will be led by Karla Gonzalez and Gabriela M. Soto and will primarily focus on avocados, berries, grapes, asparagus, and broccoli. They will also source bananas, limes, mangos, papaya, watermelons, and other items. Like IPG Chile and IPG Peru, IPG Mexico will focus on sourcing from the best growers, in the best quality, and provide our customers the best service available.

This expansion will allow IPG to develop and ship trusted brands such as IPG Gold and King Leon, while putting its footprint into 3 major growing regions. Through development of these three new offices, IPG is committed to expanding its model of high-quality service and customer focus. Meanwhile, IPG will continue to monitor other countries and opportunities for expansion.

“This is a very exciting time for IPG, and we want to thank our loyal customers and suppliers for meeting the challenge with us. This is just the beginning” said Dalton Dovolis of IPG.
