DENVER — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 30, 2020 — FoodMaven BB #:349527 today announced the addition of Bobby Grinstead to the Senior Leadership team. Mr. Grinstead, previously a Partner at The Grinstead Group, a specialized consulting company working with grower/shippers, wholesalers, foodservice operators, 3PL’s and software companies, has a long background in food distribution and was brought on to be the Vice President of Strategy.

“Bobby’s experience in food distribution and mergers and acquisitions is ideal for the next stage of FoodMaven’s growth,” said CEO Ben Deda. “We have put together a team that will grow and scale FoodMaven’s model so we can have a tremendous impact on the food distribution system by reducing food waste and increasing revenue for suppliers without a market for their product.”

Grinstead has spent his career in food distribution. He brings to FoodMaven cross functional experience in mergers and acquisitions, business finance, warehouse operations, supply chain strategy and technology implementation.

Mr. Grinstead also serves on several industry association committees, is a co-founder of the Dallas Fresh Food Association, and a proud participant of Class 25 in the United Fresh Leadership Program.

“I believe FoodMaven’s model can transform the food distribution system and bring value to food distributors in every region in the country. I have always believed that being successful in the food distribution business means being a great supply chain partner. Our goal, to be the service leader in an underserved category, will make us just that; a great supply chain partner for our customers, suppliers, and communities.” said Grinstead.

The creation of Mr. Grinstead’s position is to help FoodMaven roll out its business model faster by partnering with independent food distributors. Food distributor partners around the country will have access to FoodMaven’s technology, online marketplace, and key national relationships. FoodMaven plans to expand to 3 additional US markets in 2021 identifying food distributor partners to become a part of the FoodMaven brand.

In 2019, FoodMaven acquired Anderson Boneless Beef in Denver, CO and in 2020 FoodMaven acquired Janna Food Services in Arlington, TX. The company is headquartered in Colorado and has employees throughout the Front Range. FoodMaven also owns and operates a USDA inspected meat facility and a regional distribution center in Denver, Colorado.
