Oppy’s Doug Grant on creating food safety culture

For his latest column on behalf of the Center for Produce Safety, Doug Grant, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Vancouver, BC-based Oppy, BB #:116424 writes about the importance of creating a food safety culture in a produce company.

He and I spoke on video of who should lead this change and how CPS can help, as he chairs CPS’s Knowledge Transfer Task Force, and is a CPS board member.

Doug gives examples of companies who have changed their culture and CPS research that give produce companies valuable insights into the changes they can make to improve food safety systems.
