Kevin Moffitt will relinquish day-to-day duties as president and CEO as of July 1, 2024, but will continue part-time to train his successor.

Pear growers and producers from Washington's Wenatchee and Yakima and Oregon's Mid-Columbia and Medford districts have estimated this year's fresh pear harvest at 16.6 million standard box equivalents, or approximately 366,000 tons of fresh pears.

The video is meant to be an educational tool for shoppers, reinforcing the fact that pears are a long-lasting fruit and, when ripe, can be stored in the fridge to slow ripening, increase shelf life and eliminate waste.
