Old Souls Farms, LLC, located at in St. Paris, Ohio, is initiating a voluntary recall of greenhouse leafy green products following a positive test of Listeria monocytogenes.

The Food and Drug Administration issued recall alerts for enoki and seafood variety specialty mushrooms imported from Asia from several companies because of a risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Hy-Vee, Inc., based in West Des Moines, Iowa, is voluntarily recalling two of its Hy-Vee Short Cuts vegetable mix products across its eight-state region (IL, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, SD, and WI) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Country Fresh is extending their voluntary recall issued on October 2, 2020 to include various containers of “Freshness Guaranteed “cut and/or sliced apples, grapes, mangos, pineapples and cantaloupe distributed by Walmart.

Country Fresh is initiating a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of watermelon chunks from select stores as a precautionary measure due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes detected on equipment used in packing this product. FDA made these findings during a recent inspection.

The attack on Listeria continues at the Center for Produce Safety’s virtual Research Symposium.

The produce industry’s scientific community has targeted Listeria for more study, since that pathogen has targeted the produce industry so directly the past few years.

The products were sold under the Mann Packing and Del Monte labels, as well as private labels for Trader Joe's, Walmart, Safeway, Albertsons, Sobey's and more across the U.S. and Canada.
