CDC and public health officials in several states are investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli O121 infections linked to multiple brands of recalled organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms.

During the International Fresh Produce Association’s The Washington Conference, both Grimmway Farms and Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) were recognized with the Produce Industry Advocate of the Year Award and the inaugural IFPA Fresh Impact Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively, for their ongoing leadership and support of fresh produce.

In addition to the retail-packed products listed in the table at the end of this press release, the company recalled certain shredded carrots and chopped (chunk) carrots that were sold to food manufacturers and food service distributors.
