Americans will be gathering on the Fourth of July for a day of fireworks, food, parades and more. But as you celebrate with your friends and family this Independence Day, your cookout bill will be a bit higher.

This is a 4.5% decrease from last year’s record-high average of $64.05, but a Thanksgiving meal is still 25% higher than it was in 2019.

Farm Bureau's 36th annual survey indicates the average cost of this year's classic Thanksgiving feast for 10 is $53.31 or less than $6.00 per person. This is a $6.41 or 14% increase from last year's average of $46.90.
