Arizona governor Katie Hobbs has proclaimed November 2023 as Arizona Leafy Greens Month, marking the start of this year's lettuce season

Arizona’s Governor Ducey has proclaimed November 2022 as Arizona Leafy Greens month. Through this proclamation he called upon all residents to recognize the Arizona leafy greens industry during the month of November for consistently producing an abundance of nutritious and safe leafy greens.

The LGMA Food Safety Programs in Arizona and California have conducted an initial review of FDA’s water rule proposal and have determined that the LGMA requirements appear to meet and exceed what is in the proposed new rule.

Through this proclamation Arizona’s Governor Ducey called upon all residents to recognize the Arizona leafy greens industry during the month of November for consistently producing an abundance of nutritious and safe leafy greens.

Today the Arizona LGMA Food Safety Committee approved changes to the adjacent land use and soil amendments sections of the food safety best practices (also known as metrics) that all members must adhere to.
