Aldi opens stores in four states to close 2023

ALDI adding 120 new stores nationwide in 2023

Discount grocer Aldi, Inc. BB #:116756 Batavia, IL, ended 2023 by opening new stores in four states.

According to Supermarket News, Aldi opened stores in Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Arkansas on December 21.

The most recent openings are in Watchung, NJ; Williamsport, PA; North Port, FL; and Springdale, AR.

In August, Aldi entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Winn-Dixie BB #:110823 and Harveys Supermarket as part of a larger divestiture of Southeastern Grocers to various entities.

At that time, Aldi CEO Jason Hart said the retailer planned to add 120 new stores nationwide this year to reach a total of more than 2,400 stores by year-end.
