PRESS RELEASE: WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 27, 2020) – The application period for the 26th class of the United Fresh BB #:145458 Produce Industry Leadership Program is now extended through May 15, 2020.
“We’re all focused right now on the critical needs to keep food flowing to consumers,” said United Fresh President & CEO Tom Stenzel. “We want to give our aspiring leaders time to focus on their companies and their families; we’ll have plenty of time to select a great 26th class of leaders when we get through this crisis.”
Since its inception in 1995, more than 250 produce industry professionals have graduated from this exclusive program, thanks to the generous support of founding sponsor Corteva Agriscience.
Participation in the program is limited to 12 fellows who are selected each year by our Leadership Advisory Committee from what is always a large pool of candidates. The fellows chosen represent a broad cross-section of the industry from grower through retail and foodservice. Candidates interested in applying for Class 26 can continue to complete their application at www.unitedfresh.org.
Eligibility to participate in the program is limited to representatives of United Fresh member companies. All candidates must have the support of their companies to participate. Member companies may submit one application per company. There is no cost to participate in the fellowship and all regular expenses are covered by the program.
