U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern to address Washington Conference

PRESS RELEASE WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 12, 2019) – Representative Jim McGovern (D-MA) will keynote Tuesday morning’s Opening General Session Breakfast, September 17, during this year’s annual United Fresh BB #:145458 Washington Conference.

First elected to Congress in 1996, Rep. McGovern now serves as Chairman of the powerful House Rules Committee.

A steadfast leader in nutrition and hunger initiatives in Congress, Rep. McGovern founded the Food as Medicine Working Group in 2018 within the Congressional Hunger Caucus, and is a senior member of the House Committee on Agriculture’s Subcommittee on Nutrition and Oversight. He also is a member of the Specialty Crops Caucus.
