Agro Vision Corp. has successfully closed a $210 million syndicated financing that will fund the next phases of its ambitious global growth plan.
The 2021 Peruvian citrus campaign closed with 266,000 tons exported. This year that figure will reach 300,000 tons, reflecting a 8-10 percent growth, said Sergio Del Castillo, general manager of Procitrus.
According to figures from the National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa), Peru’s avocado shipments to international markets grew by 30 percent in 2021 compared to the previous campaign, exceeding 550,000 tons and far exceeding $1 billion, as reported by Agraria.
In the 2021-2022 Peruvian grape export campaign, growers shipped 531,069 tons for $1.373 billion, 13 percent more in volume and 22 percent more in value than the previous campaign.
Peruvian asparagus participation in the European market has seen a 30 percent increase so far in 2022.
At the end of week 12 of this 2021/2022 campaign, Peruvian fresh mango exports reached 225,600 tons, registering an increase of 6.5 percent when compared to the 211,900 tons shipped during the same period the previous campaign.
In January and February of this year, Peru exported 46,569,108 kilos of onions for an FOB value of $14,621,075.
