Victor Moller, who founded Hortifrut in 1983, died Oct.19 at age 79.

Hortifrut Statement, October 20, 2022: With great regret we announce the passing of our beloved founder and prominent agricultural entrepreneur Don Victor Moller Schiavetti.

Don Victor will be fondly remembered for his leadership, concern for people, decision-making and strategic vision. He created Hortifrut in 1983, in the family field in Virquenco, Los Angeles, where together with his wife Ana Maria raised his three children whom he then invited to work on the development of the company, with the dream of leading Hortifrut to be a world leader the Berries one under the motto “deliver berries to everyone, every day”. Over the years Hortifrut has become the largest blueberry trading platform worldwide, as well as the second largest in the berry category, with presence in more than 35 countries, employing around 55,000 people s and do a job at together with 600+ producers worldwide.

His important business journey has been recognized both nationally and internationally, receiving numerous distinctions, especially for his global vision of business associate, team building, promoting innovation and agroindustrial technology, and its special concern for sustainability.
