Sunkist & Tajin collaborate on Rose Parade Floatfest display

Sunkist-Tajin Final Banner

Houston, Texas – Sunkist Growers BB #:102141 and Tajín Seasonings have created an innovative and exciting display for the Rose Parade Floatfest in Pasadena, Calif., on January 1 and 2. Sunkist Growers will showcase their citrus products as part of the flavorful collaboration, and Tajín Seasonings will highlight their array of dry and liquid seasonings.

Floatfest: A Rose Parade Showcase is a two-mile showcase of Rose Parade floats following their appearance along the parade route. Each year, nearly 70,000 visitors head to Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena for the chance to walk within a few feet of the floats and appreciate the creativity and detail of each magnificent display up close.

The highlight of the Sunkist/Tajín display is the ability of participants to sample fresh Sunkist Navel orange segments with an option to sprinkle Tajín on top.

Sunkist’s Senior Director of Global Marketing, Christina Ward, added, “We are thrilled to be a part of the annual celebration and tradition of the Rose Parade’s Floatfest. Sunkist will be there, alongside Tajín, to sample our delicious California-grown citrus with the great taste of Tajín’s chile and lime seasonings.”

Sunkist will roll out a giant-size citrus crate for the event. In addition, Tajín will have games at their display, where participants can score goodies from both Sunkist and Tajín. Giveaways will include stress balls, pencils, juicers, Tajín products, Sunkist products and a ‘fruit stand shopping trip.’

“Tajín is the leading seasoning for fresh fruits and vegetables in North America, and we are always looking for new and exciting ways to create experiences for Tajín consumers to enjoy our products,” said Juan Carlos Limon, Marketing Manager, Tajín USA. “We know Sunkist is the leader in the citrus category, and we have launched a terrific opportunity for fans of oranges and Tajín to combine the two for a fun eating and snacking experience during Floatfest.”

The Sunkist/Tajín collaboration will extend to in-store promotions at select retail locations with sampling events and displays.
