With FreshEdge’s latest acquisition, Greg Corsaro, president and COO, says it will allow the company to offer additional product lines.

This week FreshEdge acquired Vine Line BB #:349341, a fresh produce distributor located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

“We hope to bring additional product lines, continued high quality and service levels, and consistent, reliable service,” Corsaro said, with the “expansion of produce categories, such as organics and specialty produce and expanding value-added offerings, such as fresh-cut, USDA kitchen items, and re-pack items prepared in FreshEdge companies.”

He said the geographic expansion was also key to the deal.
