SEPC kicks off in Savannah

sepc southern roots 2021

SAVANNAH, GA – After a year hiatus, the Southeast Produce Council’s BB #:191194 Southern Innovations event is back.

The event including SEPC board meetings and the STEPP-UP program, officially kicks off with the annual Southern Roots luncheon, held on Sept. 9.

Featured speaker Carrie Grace addressed empathy and caring for others in her presentation, which included about 100 attendees.

“I think one of the things that came out of the pandemic is that we had to be a lot more adaptable,” Grace said.

Grace talked of how the pandemic has changed the way we relate with others. Asking what you can do to help, acknowledging even small achievements, and complimenting go a long way.

“No one wants fewer compliments,” Grace said.

Southern Innovations continues with education sessions and the expo on Sept. 10, and golf, tours and a tailgate party Sept. 11.
