SALINAS, Calif. – (June 29, 2021) Taylor Farms BB #:193361 is bringing consumers the perfect addition for warm, sunny days this summer with the launch of Watermelon Crunch Chopped Kit, which is bursting with real watermelon flavor.

Every Watermelon Crunch Chopped kit has a bright veggie base of fresh romaine lettuce sprinkled with a hint of crimson colored radicchio, creamy feta cheese, chopped roasted almonds and a dash of toasted watermelon seeds. Salad lovers can enjoy as-is or serve alongside summer classics like freshly barbequed watermelon spears or grilled zesty chili-lime shrimp.

“Watermelon-infused items across product categories have quickly become must-haves,” said Charis Neves, Director of Innovation and Product Management.

“We are already hearing fan feedback that this new chopped salad is flavorful, refreshing and addictive,” Chelsea Williams, Product Manager also noted. “With this launch we explored adding fun visual elements like watermelon seeds to the outer packaging for an eye-catching display on-shelf.”

In the last year, the value-added salad category has grown 15% with more people eating at-home and looking for quick and easy-to-prepare meals. Salad kits are up 22% versus last year, with Chopped Kits making up the lion’s share of growth. Taylor Farms leads the pack and continues to deliver on new and exciting flavors bringing the complete portfolio of chopped kits to 24 with this newest addition.

The kit is available nationwide both in the US and in Canada. For more information, delicious recipes, and more visit www.taylorfarms.com, and follow Taylor Farms on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
