Shopper Insights 2020: How demographics guide new product trials

I talked with Karen Nardozza of Moxxy Marketing about the latest installment in our Shopper Insights 2020 series, which analyzes what less-common fresh produce items consumers reported trying at least once.

It’s not surprising that 64% have tried a pomegranate, and more than 50% have tried dates, papayas, and figs, but what about other items?

Those of of us immersed in the fresh produce world may be tired of hearing about jackfruit, but fewer than 20% of our survey respondents had tried it.

Demographics, too, follow a predictable pattern, but Karen has some insight on how marketers can use that information to confidently choose the right test market for a new product launch.
