TAMPA, FL—As a Texan, I’m an H-E-B kind of gal by heart, so that’s always had me ambivalent toward Lakeland-based Publix Super Markets Inc. BB #:110909. But this store? It is fantastic.
It also happened to be right across the water from the Tampa Convention Center, home of the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure show. Several people suggested I make the trek and they weren’t wrong. Someone also said they shop this store all the time and it wasn’t just nice because of all the produce people in proximity.
What I loved was the shoppability, and appearance of abundance, in a small format urban store.
