PRESS RELEASE: Orlando, Fla. (August 30, 2019) – Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue has appointed six members to serve the National Mango Board (NMB). The appointees include two new members and four returning members. Appointees will serve three-year terms beginning January 1, 2020 and ending on December 31, 2022.
The newly appointed board members include importer Dr. Richard J. Campbell of Homestead, FL and importer James S. Watson of Edinburg, Texas. Also appointed are importer Marsela McGrane-Vogel of San Pedro, CA; foreign producer Ing. Eddy René Martinez Morán of Guatemala; foreign producer Norberto Galvan Gonzalez of Chiapas, Mexico and foreign producer Joaquin Balarezo Valdez of Piura, Peru. Ms. McGrane-Vogel, Mr. Martinez Morán, Mr. Galvan Gonzalez and Mr. Balarezo Valdez are each returning to the board to serve a second consecutive term.
The NMB thanks those members who are completing their term on the board for their service to the mango industry. They are: Chris Ciruli of Tubac, AZ; and Jiovani Guevara of Phoenix, AZ.
