Applewood Fresh Growers LLC, a grower, packer, shipper and marketer of the finest Michigan apples, is excited to announce that produce expert Brian Coates has joined its growing team as Director of Business Development.
Prior to joining Applewood Fresh, Brian spent over thirty-six years working for some of the largest companies within the produce industry, working in procurement, business development, and most recently sales and marketing. For over thirty-two years Brian served various roles with Meijer. From bagger, to produce department clerk, to produce manager, and then Produce Buyer/Merchandiser where he procured the whole spectrum of produce commodities. Brian, also, took on the role of Senior Buyer, providing leadership and strategic direction to the buying team at Meijer. As Senior Buyer, he worked extensively developing successful promotional strategies and pricing plans
