Find inspiration, value at Fresh Summit

PMA Fresh Summit

This year’s Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit Conference and Expo, held in Orlando, FL, Oct. 18-20, is expected to have a refreshed convention and a record-breaking expo.

More than 19,000 people are expected to attend from more than 60 countries, and thousands of buyers and more than 1,200 exhibiting seller companies will come together across the expo’s more than 300,000 square feet – a new Fresh Summit record.

The Fresh Summit convention is going to look and feel very different this year, featuring new “Forums for the Future,” which feature four big voices speaking on four big topics impacting our industry.

These forums, and new Experience Extensions in between, are designed to bring attendees together for inspiring, collective experiences and to join the conversations.

PMA CEO Cathy Burns’ annual State of the Industry forum will focus on emerging trends impacting our industry and how to adapt to them. Wired magazine’s Greg Williams will talk with diverse innovators about harnessing disruption.

Award-winning performer Leslie Odom, Jr., of Hamilton fame will explore diversity, storytelling and creativity. Famed quarterback Peyton Manning will share his experience inspiring and leading on and off the field.

“PMA’s Fresh Summit is where I find inspiration for new pack styles, varietals and vendors. The summit is extremely educational whether it be the motivational speakers, insightful industry leaders or just the expo itself. Every year this event is a ‘must attend’ in my book,” says 99 Cent Only Stores director of produce Caitlin Tierney.

Experience Extensions are designed to give attendees a chance to join conversations on industry topics that are important to them, including food safety, trade, transportation, talent retention and the future of blockchain.

Attendees can join in some lighthearted fun at the Global Street Festival Welcoming Reception on Thursday night and the Floral Flamingle Reception on Friday night (separate registration for receptions may be required, depending upon your registration type).

Each entertaining, energizing reception will give attendees more of an experience, while also providing more time for business outings outside of Fresh Summit events.

This year’s Fresh Summit has been re-visioned based on feedback from attendees and volunteer leaders, to ensure that Fresh Summit is relevant to our industry well the future. This year’s changes are just the beginning of what’s to come for Fresh Summit. Advanced registration is now closed, but on-site registration is available. The All Access Pass is the best value, and includes all Forums for the Future and the Global Street Festival. Retailers and other buyers receive significant discounts on registration.
