On April 15, 2016, a preliminary injunction was granted against Andrews Farming, Inc. and Jones Keith Andrews, personally, in civil case #16-00149 filed in United States District Court, Western District of Virginia. The plaintiffs were seeking $999,494.41 in the suit. According to the injunction order, the defendants “are restrained and enjoined from transferring or dissipating accounts receivable and other proceeds derived from the transfer of perishable agricultural commodities (“Produce”), and any assets commingled, purchased or otherwise acquired with proceeds of such Produce (all such assets are referred to herein as “PACA Trust Assets”), except as expressly provided herein.”
